nickstrocchia > And after! If you zoom in on both pictures, the difference really begins to stand out. I'm especially proud of this shot of my grandfather, taken right after WWII in Germany. When I was visiting my family over Christmas 2007 I asked my Grandma to give me all of her old photographs. I took them and sent them off to scanmyphotos.com and 5 days later they returned the pictures along with a CD of digital images. This one was especially damaged, but after about 3 hours of photoshop an awesome picture emerged.
nickstrocchia > I love going to NY, and photography just makes my trips that much sweeter. This building is close to Ground Zero. I really love how the shadows and reflections play into this image, especially the clouds.
nickstrocchia > This is another one of my top picks; a very majestic shot of a monster truck. Amy and I went down to Hampton, VA for Monster Jam one weekend and wouldn't you know it, they had no problems with SLR cameras at the event! I got a lot of great shots that night, but this one really stood out. These trucks are straight piped and produce a lot of exhaust in the arena, be prepared to either shoot through the haze or spend some post production time making your subjects break out.
