nickstrocchia > Another shot that I can't take credit for! My girlfriend Amy Grady took this while I was horsing around on top of a 15 story building overlooking downtown DC. I'd like to think she just got lucky, but she's pretty talented for having little knowledge of how a DSLR works.

nickstrocchia > Grabbed this shot during the Crafty Bastards Art Festival in DC last fall (07). There was a break dancing troop performing all day and towards the end they held more freestyle sessions. This guy came out of the crowd and the colors of his clothes really stood out combined with his windmill. I added photoshop radial blur for effect.

nickstrocchia > This is a shot of my cousin York, who lives in the Outer Banks along with the rest of my family. The kid loves the water and being outside and you shouldn't bother trying to bring him in until the sun goes down. I shot this with a dated telephoto lens that I bring to the beach and after a little bit of photoshopping it turned out pretty well.

nickstrocchia > Another photo from the Outer Banks, this shot came from the back of a boat we each paid $35 to ride and do some fishing. Not the best investment, but we all had a good time and I was able to get a couple of good captures in the process.

nickstrocchia > One more shot from the same boat trip.

nickstrocchia > This is another "right place, right time" shot. I was riding around in a cab in NYC and as we were driving through SoHo (I think?) I managed to get a shot of this gentlemen waiting to cross the street.

nickstrocchia > Here’s another one of my favorite shots. Living in Georgia was kind of a drag, but it had its moments. One nice thing was that my roommate at the time loved to wakeboard and had an amazing boat dedicated to the sport. We would cut out of work and head up to Lake Tobesofkee and ride until we were spent. This shot is of my buddy Eric catching some nice air along with an awesome trail of water behind him. One of the things that I absolutely love about SLRs is their ability to catch water, and wakeboarding is just icing on the cake!
