I’ve been boxing at Knox Box/Third Power Fitness for about eight months when I decided to finally bring my camera in. I was sick one day and had been thinking about it for some time, and I was glad that I did. It was one of the hardest shoots for me since the lighting is low all over the place. There are halogen and incandescent bulbs, plus natural light to deal with combined with lenses that aren’t all that fast. It was interesting and towards the end of the shoot I was starting to get the hang of the hot and cold spots throughout the ring. Biggest lesson learned, leave on my prime lens (50mm 1.7), I went back and forth and my prime was the best performer out of the lot. There are various descriptions peppered througout the gallery, so take some time to check 'em all out.
On a bunch of these photos I brought back the color from the black and white conversion. I like black and whites, but I don’t think I’m as enamored with them as some people are. I thought that the boxing equipment colors are just too good to leave out in some instances.
